It's been a long while since my last post on this blog, something I had intended to do on a regular basis, but then became busy with projects. Then procrastination set in - and Time, always on the move, has a way of getting the better of me if I let my guard down. So - here we go - again. Let's hope I'm better this round.
When I created this website, I did so with the intention of sharing my travels as I explored my new home state. I developed a travel show about New York state some years ago doing a similar thing. Each location we visited also had historical merit. That show aired on PBS. This time around, I thought I'd do it on the web (which wasn't the omnipresent beast it is today when I did the NY show). As I explored, I discovered that the state of North Carolina already has an excellent website, although it took me awhile to find it.
After that discovery, I contemplated taking this site down, but people were checking it out and writing to tell me they enjoyed it and found it helpful. I decided to keep it more evergreen, with a tweak here and there, and let it stay - and will continue to add new content from time to time. I also thought I'd blog more - we'll see how that goes...
Of course, there have been changes since this site began. We relocated to the coast, which I love dearly and enjoy exploring. I've also had some fur babies transition from the Earth Angel status to real angels. At the moment, I'm writing more, traveling less. Working on film related projects and books - but will keep this site dedicated to travel primarily in and around the state and region (since I'm so close to the SC border now). People still write to say they like it - and I'm good with that. Thank you!
Also, I'll put in a shameless plug for another fun project that I am working on with my friend, Monika Winters-Sanchez, a writer, filmmaker, and doer of interesting things. We started a blog about holidays last fall that is still evolving. I'm a holiday fiend, and am delighted to learn more about holidays I love. Monika wasn't big on celebrating holidays (the blog was her idea!), but now she's into it and having fun, too.

Thanks to all of you who pop in - to my longtime readers and to anyone who came to check it out intentionally - or by mistake and stayed. I truly appreciate and value all of you!
Wishing you all safe and happy travels! ♥️
